How To Use The Groundhog Number Mats:

For this Groundhog Day activity, your kids will identify the number on their mat. They will then trace over the number word with a dry erase marker.

Next, your preschoolers will fill in the ten frame to represent that number. They can use pom poms, mini erasers, Bingo chips, or any other small manipulative.

Your children can also mark the spots in the ten frame by writing an X or drawing a circle with a dry erase marker.

After filling in the ten frame, your students can trace over the number.

These Groundhog Number Mats are a hands-on way for your preschoolers to work on number sense on this February!
